The Art of Printmaking

Our first event of the new year will be taking place at Fen Ditton Gallery's exhibition The Language of Abstraction. For those who attended our trial event in early Summer 2021, you will have seen the finalists of our inaugural Contemporary Printmaking Prize featuring emerging and upcoming printmakers.

The Language of Abstraction exhibition will take another look at printmaking, this time through the eyes of master-printmaker, Kip Gresham, who has worked with some of the most renowned artists over his 40-year career including; Wilhelmina Barns-Graham, Gillian Ayres, Willard Boepple, Kim Lim and many more.

We are delighted to have Kip's apprentice, Callum Rose, at the event in conversation with Hannah. Callum has recently been involved in the production of a Quintet portfolio published by The Print Studio, Cambridge, the proceeds of which are funding his apprenticeship. An artist and printmaker, Callum is now learning the skills and techniques from Kip, who plans to instruct him in the coming years and is keen to pass on his experience.

Please join us for this event on Thursday 27th January between 6pm-8pm.
